Sure, animation work is painstakingly a jerkbutt. Animating by yourself with no team can be an even more of a miserable experience. (The team is there for camaraderie and love while you suffer all the while).
But animating… I mean, I’m a “big picture” kind of gal. Storyboards, concept, foundation, I like that stuff. What it is, what it feels like, you know? Let me give it life as soon as possible. Other people who actually like adding the muscles and the tendons and everything else can do that ‘cause they love it. I love sketchiness. I love unfinished, unrefined, gritty more than I love putting out perfect details.
But not anymore.
I’ve come to appreciate subtlety. The tiniest glance. Hair bouncing along with a confident walk. Even the smallest, tiniest detail is actually incredibly breathtaking.
